What is the one thing you miss most when you leave a well established, reasonable sized organisation to set up on your own? For me it was having the support of an IT team. I went from having these miracle workers on speed dial to suddenly having to work it out on my own. Not a happy place!
As time goes by, you learn bits and bobs and bit by bit you manage to solve the niggling little issues which pop up every now and then. However, then comes the big one. I need to replace my laptop. Who to ask? Who will give me a genuinely independent view as to what model is a decent buy and then who will help me configure the new kit when it arrives?

Once the laptop arrived, he configured it and transferred all of the stuff from my old one. He saved me a great deal of time and made the transition between the two machines seamless. So, while it is tempting as a small business owner to try to do everything yourself, there are times when calling in an expert is the right thing to do – it is quicker, more cost effective and most importantly it allows you to get on with your day job!
